What stays in your browser

The live numbers on these pages, such as how long a page took to reach your screen, are measured by your own browser and are not sent anywhere.

The assistant and the email builder run only in your browser and send nothing. When the email builder opens your email app, nothing leaves your device until you press send there yourself.

The site check

When you use the site check, the address you type is sent to this site’s server. The server fetches that public page and returns the readings to your browser. The check does not store the address or the results.

To keep the check from being misused, the server also limits how many checks one connection can run, counted by IP address over one minute. It keeps that count in its own memory and in Cloudflare’s rate limiting for this site, never next to the address you typed or the results. If a connection goes over the limit, Cloudflare may record the blocked request, with its IP address, in this site’s Cloudflare security log.

If the speed test is switched on, the address is also sent to Google’s PageSpeed Insights API, which tests the page under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

The legal basis for this is legitimate interests: running the check you asked for, and keeping it from being misused.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests your browser makes in order to deliver the pages, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy.

Cloudflare, and Google when the speed test runs, may handle a request on servers outside the United Kingdom, under their own safeguards for international transfers.

If you email me

I use your email address and your message to reply to you and to discuss work with you. The legal basis is legitimate interests (you wrote to me, and I reply) and, if you become a client, the contract with you.

I keep emails only as long as I need them for that, and for the records the law requires a company to keep.

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, or object to how I use it.

You can also ask me to limit how I use it, for example while a correction is checked. Where the law gives you the right, you can ask for a copy of what you gave me in a common file format, to take elsewhere. For any of these, email hamza@hamzagrowth.com.

If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the data protection regulator in the United Kingdom.

Changes

If anything here changes, this page changes with it, and so does the date at the top.
